Welcome to Ru, Chiara De Maria's visions
Here, everything is in constant transformation.
Like a single stream of dreams the traces of their artistic research interwine, juxtapose, collide and overlap.
Right now their subconscious is working out a new form to welcome you on your next visit and show you what it has been processed and kept from the past experiences and what is currently experimenting with their artistic practice.

Ru, Chiara De Maria is a multidisciplinary visual artist and art director with an experiential approach to their practice, captivated by the gestures of the body and the “forms” of the human being.
Experimenting with analogue photography since 2009, Ru holds an academic degree in Photography and a Master’s in Contemporary Visual Arts.
Their work experience includes roles as an art educator and museum mediator, as well as leading artistic direction for residencies and cultural events in contemporary photography. They currently work as art director for Berlin Phil Media.
In their practice, Ru uses photography, collage, video, and performance as tools for a critical creative process with a keen eye on social and political emergencies. Their approach is rooted in collaborative research that often involves participatory art projects.
